Do you still have the wrapper? Or part number?

Ive got a red badge on mine...  :happy2:

Sorry Rich - wrapper is long gone, and Awesome didn't list the VW part on the invoice. Still got the rabbit (or hare?) emblem that was part of the badge...
How many people did you fool with the red TDI badge on yours?! Better now it has the GTI badge back on!

Nothing to do with me, but saw this on Ebay earlier - same mileage, and pretty much the same spec as mine when I bought it in October (although it has highline, which I want!!);

Hiline is a easy fit just speak to Eddie-nl   or Kalu it will intergrate perfectly with the RNS-510 ans MFSW.

Cheers Scooba - all over it!

Can't wait to have it fitted! Only had full screen FIS on my old mkiv fitted a few months before it was written off, and never had the chance to get the TMC / SatNav instructions working, but that was a good upgrade. Looking at all the mk5 options on the full FIS, it'll bring the car up a level  :jumping:

Hello all,

A few weeks late reporting this update after my 340 mile round trip to see Eddie_NL, but have at last got round to cleaning the car up a bit. Reason for the trip to Eddie was to have a set of highline clocks fitted - after PM, we agreed that my RNS & Fiscon would be fitted at the same time.

Love the info that the Fiscon allows;

Very, very happy with the interior of the car now - fantastic to have everything working from the MFSW buttons - the car is so different from when I collected it. Just how I wanted it to be. Voice control is a nice addition too, if a bit of a gimmick!

Whilst I'm here, just thought I'd include a pic of the Edition 30 plaque that I was pleased to add, after all the efforts that fellow mkv enthusiasts went to with VW;

Hi dave car is looking good I've just recently got an edition 30 myself! I was just wondering Joe easy it was to change the head unit to the sav is it just a straight swap or is there any internal wiring that has to be added?

Thanks

John

Hello all,

Bit of an update. Tomorrow is a year to the day that my old mkiv was written off, so it's nearly a year I've had the ED30. It does feel like 'my' car now! Much better condition than when I bought it from VW.

So, service time has come around - went to APS as usual. Car passed MOT with no advisories, and had full on service, brake fluid change, AC gas, etc. Feels a bit fitter for it. Had a couple of upgrades fitted too - Milltek Cat back (non-res), & VWR springs to sharpen the handling. Both are spot on - exactly what I wanted. Subtle & enhanced the car even further.

Only other news is I went on a trackday at Donington on Sunday (full GP circuit this time) - weather was terrible. Certainly learnt a lot about the handling of the car! So... some pics for you all;

Cheers,

Dave

Thanks TC - the photographer did well with the pics!

I must say, there seems to be more & more hardcore machinery at trackdays recently - at this one there was a full on Clio Trophy V6 race car!

Still, I had fun in the trusty Golf!
