xmas pressie of gauges or polar...

My wonderfull girlfriend will get me a boost gauge for xmas but i dont want to break her bank...
Id like the vent pod and gauge that matches my dials etc but im also thinking would i be better off getting a polar fis unit?
Whats the thoughts guys

I honestly dont know but i think fiscon is a type of bluetooth adapter that works with certain units, i may not be correct tho!!
Theres a chap on here that sorts out good prices on the units

Damoegan was selling a boost gauge on here, may have sold it though.

Yeh Fiscon does bluetooth and also some things Polar does, but not boost on a GTI/ED30.

EDIT: I got a Fiscon for a really, really good price hence why I have it installed and think it's a nice addition to the bluetooth. Otherwise I'd have a Polar for this purpose, no doubt.

Get a Polar Fis+ Advanced, been looking at getting one and there about £220 delivered. As said it shows boost but is probably not as easy to see as a gauge at a quick glance. Have a read of this..

Polar FIS+ Advanced is by far the best route to go, does boost and a whole lot more CF's, injector timing, oil level, temp, EGT's (latest firmware), fuel pressure (low/high systems), Mass airflow. All quite readable

But I think you must have a Highline OEM, not Midline, for a Polar FIS to work.

Better value for money than just a boost gauge but £220 is a fat wad to ask a girlfriend to dish out for a pressie (depending on how wealthy she is).

I would prefer a vent mounted boost gauge, they look very smart against VW gauges

Your not helping me  i like gauges but the liquid gauge thing majig is pretty cool, im honestly not sure, it comes down to price
shell spend at least 150 on a decent gauge and vent pod, another 50 and the technology is on another level
