Has anyone fitted this?

Wanting to facelift my GT Sport, just wondering on the quality on this part as obviously OEM will be way steeper than this price which I think is very reasonable...

Anyone fitted similar?

Not a bad price. but all depends on the quality.

I saw a guide once where you could change the bumper to an original GTI one without changing the slam panel and all. It was just cutting and trimming a bit of the bumper.

However i have seen some kits like the above where they go straight on, but you could tell they werent OEM

I haven't got an OEM front kit. Doesn't fit perfectly. Gaps where they shouldn't be. Can only be seen up close though.

I asked the same question a few weeks ago, no one from these forums have fitted one, but I found a thread over on another forums,about these bumpers;

Seems a good fit!

No problem, got the same item on my ebay as well, was thinking about doing it in the new year.

Let me know if you get it sooner.

Nice price on the lights, was that from ebay?

I'm from near Swaffham. Same here for the bumper, was planning on getting a shark remap, but an unfortunate expense from a garage ended up costing me my remap money! lol, can't wait for the new year!

I had an Xparts bumper and got rid of it for a genuine one, which I should have got in the first place. It was ok and I was kinda happy at first, but it just never sat right.

I'm not the only one to regret going Xparts or Vagen, I recommend you get OEM or nothing.

Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

I agree. They never sit right on the slam plate. If I could afford I would get genuine to replace the replica I have.

I have a genuine one on mine, bough off ebay for £120 in the correct colour, cutting the back to fit is easy and ony takes 30 mins to fit :), definatly worth holding out for genuine..

What actually needs to be cut out on the back? Intrested in doing this myself
How hard can it be?
