valve types

Was just wondering what type of valves you guys have fitted to your wheels??  mine has the short ones and i was wondering would a normal type valve fit when i come to get new tyres??  as these are getting abit old.

mine has short rubber ones which are the ones for alloys-some wheels have the all metal ones

afaik if you have the Monza 2 rims that came with metal valves, you'll have to buy and use the same type at replacement time.

not necessarily true, as im pretty sure the Monza has a standard size valve.  We sell the rubber ones with little chrome sleves or full metal ones like the pic.  :happy2:

Wont fit in the recess or the hole for the valve??

cant fully remember, i think it mite not fit the recess in the wheel.  any idea why?   and thanks for the help guys

If I remember correctly the early 18" Monza II's had to have the metal valve,  but this changed on later Monza II's to standard valves.

What is the BBS No. on the back of your alloys ?

ill have a look tomorroww and post it up, they were replaced under warranty a few months ago but they put my valves in the new wheels

Correct, the original Monza IIs were BBS RD305, part no 05 45 105.  The later ones with the rubber valves are made by Ronal, dunno the Ronal part no though!
