I've been at that stage ever since i picked up MW!!!

Having a mare connecting to any games tonight. NAT is strict , might have something to do with it? Will binning the BT homehub and getting a new router resolve? Can't be bothered faffing with the HH settings. Tried before and failed miserably!

It's not your end, something is wrong on their end. Mines been unplayable since 1pm and now getting freezes on zombies. The black ops forum has thousands of complaints, hopefully they get it sorted soon.

That's a relief. I've had strict NAT before and it's never affected me playing online!

If u have a strict nat then go into network and run the diagnostic so it tell you that you have a strict nat then turn off and unplug your router for about 30sec-1min and replug it in turn it back on wait until it connects and then run through the diagnostic again , should have changed your nat type to open  :happy2:

Cheers mate. I mucked about with the settings last night and now my ps3 can't even pick up the ISP etc. anyway, I've decided to bin the crappy BT homehub anyway and get a decent router with more capability. Any recommendations? Looking at the net gear model that's £109 in Argos?

I use this netgear router

http://www.debenhamsplus.com/DE_Netgear_Networking___Routers_20016575/version.asp?refsource=DXfroogle&gclid=CLKusouj0bMCFefMtAoduCkAeQ

Works perfect for me :happy2:

There are probably better ones available but works perfect for me... Plus £51 off aint too bad ;)

Is there a list of ports that you can forward on the router for the PSN?

I know on the HomeHub there is an option for Xbox Live which I'm guessing just forwards a bunch of the right ports to the IP/MAC for the Xbox.

Found this if it helps.

Is it possible to keep check of the challenges during the actual mission you are playing? I can only find them at the menu. Some of them are totally pointless

Cheers mate. Went for the easy option and just bought a shiny new router. Open NAT ahoy!! Went for the netgear 3000 or something in the end. Amazing difference from the BT homehub! £109 lighter mind you!!

And the wife is out tonight and the wee man in bed, so peace to play!!

Well... I'm gonna have to play it again from the beginning.

I remember when games played for weeks before I managed to finish them!  :stupid:
