What is tiv mapping

Has anyone heard of tiv mapping? What does it stand for and how does it work?

The TiV is a map update for R-Tech customers, all maps from Nov 2012 will be our Gen17 base maps and will already carry the TiV mapping.

 
 Its my new mappng methods for ME7 1.8T and MED9 2.0TFSI the results are amazing and allowing me to unlock the ecu more than ever before.  I dont want to go into too much detail, but basically its a method I have been working on for 18months now which allows me to gain full control of the timing and boost and tune like a stand alone ecu with out over active PID or torque invertention.  It removes lots of the stupid Bosch routines which hinder tuning for power.  I am the only tuner offering this combination of tuning for 1.8T. TFSi and Focus 225 ST..   I wont be long until it gets copied like my linear throttle ideas...lol

Just spotted this thread! Is the suggestion here that R Tech customers (pre Nov 2012) should go back to see them for a map update??

Anyone wanting the new Tiv update will get it for free,  it takes 20mins to extract your current map and about 20mins to edit in the Tiv code and flash back.  Even if your running custom maps you can have the TiV added without the need to go back on the dyno.

Allows me to gain full control of the timing and boost and tune like a stand alone ecu without over active ecu PID or torque invertention trying to reduce torque.  It removes lots of the stupid Bosch routines which hinder tuning for power.  Some cars stage2 1.8T ko4 have been seeing around 30bhp30lbft gains, TFSI back to back can see 15-20lbft across the mid range with TiV, some see no gains but much better and smooth torque deilivery, light load driving more refined.   I have been using methods like this in my custom maps for a few years now and its only this year I have added them all together and put them in to all my maps.

Not all cars act same way wit TiV its depends if one of the routines are hindering the power delivery, but so far everyone having the TiV upgrade are seeing some gains or benifit.

I think mines had it done (although Nick didn't answer my post above  ). He's changed the part of the map that affects the way the car drives at low RPM, like when driving at low speeds in 1st gear, it's less jerky. Maybe a feature of TIV mapping??

I havent been able to dyno properly yet as my clutch is slipping badly

Many many people had the TiV update and very happy.  Most of feedback is on facebook groups.   I am even making the Focus ST boys happy with TiV mapping.
