« on: June 22, 2009, 04:52:41 pm »
Hi guys ,my gti has done 19000 miles its an 06 plate ,up until the other day it was running great ,however i was on the motorway one night and opened her up and reached about xx mph ,when i stopped to pick up the missus the engine was sort of stuttering and juddering when idling, now its doing it all the time when idling and also decides to rev itself from 1000 to 2000 revs at random when in low gear ,other wise its driving perfectly ,im new to site so sorry if this has been posted before ,please help..

I also had this problem arise yesterday, had been away for a few days - went to use the car and could NOT start for about 5 mins, when it finally started I could hear a hissing noise coming from pcv, also kept hissing after the engine was switched off for a few seconds. Replaced with a Rev. L item and all is well.  :happy2:

I have had this problem (fluctuation of idle) sorted today at The TT shop, the lads fixed the fault after checking for boost leaks and cleaning the throttle body but changing the PCV was the answer, thanks guys  :happy2:
