Revo sps switch problems
« on: November 14, 2012, 06:52:28 pm »
Hi all.
Just got my hands on a second hand sps2 switch.

Went to switch about on the missus's 1.4tsi scirocco just to check it works, an when I have ignition on, then plug it in to switch there is no beeps whatsoever.

I leave it in for 5 mins an no beeps whatsoever.

Need to know if I'm doing it wrong or is the switch a dud?

Thanks in advance.

Does the Scirocco already have a Revo remap written to the ECU?

What year is the car? Was the ecu removed to program the software initially?

I also have a problem with my switch purchased at inters, followed the instructions and no beeps.

Told by revo it may need a cycle of power when connected to a laptop so downloaded the software, plugged it in and cannot install driver to make it work  :stupid:

There appears to be no drivers online so spoke to revo who sent me a memory stick with software on it and that didn't have it on either  :sad1:

error is code 28 no driver available, windows cannot find one online either

I only purchased software at inters got the switch elsewhere. Hope it doesn't turn into the problem you have mate, sounds painful!

The ecu was not removed, they mapped it at inters in around 30 mins.

Just want it to work!!

Is it possible to post a pic of your switch?
Without traction power is nothing!

Not at the moment.

It's the SPS2 which is the middle one with 3 performance settings 95, 98 and 100 octane.

Its not the SPS3which is the one where you can adjust boost etc etc.
