Thanks 'Mo'.
I used a slim ballast Infinity 55w kit in my stock halogen headlights with those plastic ring xenon adapters for the golf 5 halogen housings (maybe there was the problem, cause they felt dodgy). There was a small black box on every cable, so I guess those where built in resistors for the infinity hid kit. I also activated xenon without shutters with vagcom.
Worked for a out 4 months, then the wiper motor failed...
So I'm not sure if I dare to get a hid kit again.
Maybe I just put Osram Nightbreakers or other 6500k h7 bulbs in my the new xenonlook housings, so they look like xenon, but nothing can go wrong...

Im wondering if this may be an issue. May disable mine in the meanwhile.
I dont think the small black boxes were resistors they are just the bits that cant fit in the slim ballast.

Finally got mine in:

My brother has bullied me into fitting a 35w HID kit into them. Why does the wiper motor fry if you have HIDs? Will i have any problems? Iv also not changed any coding?

Apparently the lights and the wipers share a common power feed. When you use hid's with capacitors on them any excess voltage stored /created by the capacitors (not entirely sure which) but this voltage ends up frying the wipers.
I have a standard 35w non canbus friendly digital set of hid's and have coded my car for xenons no shutters.Seems to work fine so far but will update of any changes or fried wipers.

If yours has capacitors coding will not prevent any damage to your wipers unfortunately.Unless you have the removable type of capacitors.

I fried my wipermotor with a 55w infinity h7 hid set (this set didn't have capacitors and I coded vcds xenon without shutters). Worked perfect for +/- 4 months, them wiper motor suddenly failed..
This week I finally receive my FK xenon style headlights, but still not sure to fit a hid kit or just out 6500k H7 bulbs (like osram nightbreakers) in...

fried two wiper motors until some research led me to discover it could be the ballasts i was using with the hella celis headlights sitting on top of my wardrobe! it is possible to retrofit OEM ballasts and bulbs into the wiring that way you know you've got a good set of bulbs and ballasts...

just got to get hold of a pair of ballasts and bulbs and figure out the +ve/-ve feeds and bobs your uncle. i had it on mine for a short while. www.hidplanet.com thats where you'll find many pinouts.

i'd highly recommend staying away from the cheapo ballasts.

Received my Depo xenonlook headlights today (The Netherlands).
It was very well packaged (double boxed).
Quality is excellent! Looks like o.e.m.
I am very pleased with them and I am glad I decided to buy these new headlights in stead of second hand o.e.m. xenons (looking at price, the fact that they are new. Unscratched, etc.)

Still not sure if I'm going to install a hid kit to them, before installing them (next weekend)...
Looking at the recess on them bottom (the place where the o.e.m. ballast also goes when you have factory xenons), it looks like a good place to install an aftermarket slim hid ballast. You can also drill al hole there and feed the wires from the ballast into the housing/h7 xenon bulb, using a robber grommet. Thus you don't need do drill a hole in the plastic round cap on the back of the housing.
(see picture 4)

Who can give me link to a aftermarket 35w hid kit that 100% won't fry my wiper motor (again...)?

This is the 55w infinity kit I custom made in 2011. I used it in the stock halogen gti headlights. Worked for about 4 months, then it killed the wiper motor (I've thrown this hid kit away immediately).
