Tried to call through to the hotline in Germany but no answer. On another site they state on their FK headlamps the following

"FK Headlights are LHD unless specifiecally stated as RHD in the description above. LHD lights are only suitable for show use"

When I had these there's a little arm inside the lights, where you insert the bulb you pull the
Arm up or down and it changes the shutter for LHD/RHD. hope this helps

Were yours, THESE very ones bought from FK?

Also does the arm actuall switch from LHD to RHD (and vice versa) or just flatten out the beam?

No but they look identical at the rear to the ones I had, when I bought mine off eBay
It didn't specify whether they were lhd/rhd. The lever  was on the black plastic surrounding the bulb housing and
Simply flicked up or down. There was even a thread a few years back with a pic of said lever
Edit I think the pic may have been the lights on your link.

Thing is most (if not all) of these lights look identical. I've had a set before with no lever and LHD.

I now have OEM set up but buyer beware - I sent FK an email over the weekend to ask but no reply.

.
Buyer be aware (or beware) that the key to their spec is in the word "Xenon style lights".

Do they light up the road like genuine Xenons do? - If not, why buy?

The OP drives a standard Mk5 rather than a GTI. This could be a cheap alternative to buying OEM black headlights.

Having had no response from an email i sent this morning i decided to send another email to them but in German and got a swift response, although not what i wanted to hear.

KEANO,

Did you read the posts above?

It wasn't that we were doubting there would be two lights, more that it's likely to be Left Hand Drive.

This is the response I got from FK... Much like Mo

If there is no switch inside, if I were you I would ask the question of FK before you go about removing the bumper and fitting them...

Interesting!! But are they all going to be the same?
Hella ones - the cheapest I found was from a German seller at £291 delivered
These ones look similar for almost half the price
