The FK ones seem to be LHD only though so you will have to pay more for the RHD ones! Or wait and see if that seller on ebay gets any more RHD ones in

I'm still looking for a good o.e.m. looking xenon headlight set, but hard to find in The Netherlands at the moment...
(also can't find a good 2nd hand o.e.m. xenon headlight pair, so best alternative for me is a original looking h7 xenonlook set)

Still confused about the difference between the brands -> FK & Depo (and Hella, but I know already know they are 100% o.e.m. looking, and more expensive)

Sometimes I see pictures (depo?) where the projector looks smaller:

Is this also in real life, or are all FK and Depo models o.e.m. looking.
Where can I find a good pair, suitable for my Dutch GTI (steering wheel is on te left)?
Can't find them on the German FK site anymore...

Thanks

Ignore the picture.I have depo and the projector is not small. That is just an error in the reflection on the picture. The ones on the FK site were in fact Depo lights also.

Thanks 'mo'!
So I understand FK and Depo are 100% identical (and o.e.m. looking).
Do you know where they still sell them (lhd, because I live in The Netherlands) for a good price)?
Has anybody ever compared there FK/Depo's with the Hella ones? Is there a vissible difference?

Ive been looking out for oem xenons whilst out driving and cant find any difference in appearance so far.Cheapest ive seen at the moment are from USA.They do post to the netherlands but youd have to ask them how much.

I think the lens looking bigger is due to the angle of the photo

Right chaps.

After some searching, I've managed to track down some OEM identical RHD ONLY head lamps. They come out at £180 + Postage from the US. The supplier has a contact at Deop and his contact has assured him that these headlights are the correct one's for the UK.

Also, I've been trying to find a cheaper alternative to the OEM Auto-levelling system and found this:

http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/561857194/2012_new_auto_leveling_system_for.html

I'm not sure how effective these are - so will post any reviews, if I find some!

If anyone is interested in the Xenon head lamps - then please email me at vaheedakhtar@yahoo.co.uk - I was due to order some last week - but I've decided to get the car remapped and the exhaust work done first.

You should only need the auto levellers if you are wanting proper xenons, you should be ok without if you are getting xenon look ones?

Ok decided to go for the xenon look ones, because they are cheaper, new (so no scratche, stone-chips), no hassle with 10-12pin adapters, no vagcom coding, no auto levellers needed, no washers, etc.

Found a store over here in The Netherlands who sells them for a good price (235,- euro)
Found out that all Depo, FK Automotive, Dectane, SWV06DB, are 100% the same (and so, all 100% o.e.m. Looking)

I've seen a picture of these xenonlook headlights and I can see that underneath there is the same recess for a o.e.m. Xenon ballast as with original xenon headlights. Is this true? Is the connector for a o.e.m. ballast also there?
Or do I need to wire a aftermarket hid kit just the way all aftermarket hid kits have to be connected?
I'm asking this because, when I receive these headlights, I maybe connect a hid kit, before placing them. But I want to find out how to wire and place them correctly (because I already fried the wiper motor once, when I placed a 55w hid kit in my stock halogen headlights, common problem).

Tim,
My depos do have the recess underneth but you will have to wire your hid kit as normal drilling a hole into the rear access cover. I used heavy duty double sided tape to stick them to the sides of my lights.
Was your old hid kit one with built in resistors ?
I was recommended a digital slim ballast kit by another member who has been running on his car for 3 years no problems. It doesnt have any resistors on it so shouldnt cause any wiper issues apparently. However you will need to code your car for xenons no shutters which is a 5 min job.
