Especially as the cover is aluminium. Mine is black but it's where I'm gonna put mine too. On display (why hide it?), subtle (not in yer face), looks OEM (even though it's not) = A winner.

I have seen the black also, both colours look very nice and as you say not ~in your face~

You've got me thinking I might move mine now, didn't want to "deface" my ally ashtray cover but that looks ok.

Getting hold of an alu cover might be the tricky part. VW only fitted them for a short amount of time IIRC.
