I was fortunate enough to stumble across a fellow forumite, Greeners, selling his engine cover prior to selling up his Pirelli. He had just had it smoothed and painted and was ready to be bolted in pride of place. It really does finish the engine bay off when you have an ITG fitted! :happy2:

The Group Buy thread is over now but it might be worth posting a question as to when/if it will be reopened again as I believe he said he would. If you have a GTI then your build number is the last 6 numbers of your VIN number and if yo have an Edition 30 then you'll need to get in touch with VW Customer Services to find out (and possibly) get hold of a plaque.

If I ever sell my GTI I'll keep that engine cover and hang it either on my bedroom or my living room wall. There ain't no missus to tell me I can't!

I was emptying my Forge catchtank and always have my camera on my belt, recognised the nice lighting and snapped it.

I've just spent over 2hrs on my knees photographing in my wildlife pond - 152 photos to upload and sort out.

Contact WV customer services on 0800 0833914. Give them all your details (telling them your after your "individually numbered Golf GT Edition 30 plaque") and if one has not been previously sent out to a former owner one will be sent to you for free. If one has been sent out before then you will not get one.

IIRC you will need to send them (via email) a copy of your Reg Document showing its your car and they go from there.

I delt with a chap called Matthew Young but lots of peeps have delt with a lass called Jenny (I think).

Hope that helps. Any probs, PM me and I'll give you the direct phone number for the chap I spoke to.
