Wahaaaay!

Pulled up to traffic lights today on a large round about, (Crewe area) had a quick glance to my right and there was a rather tidy black 5dr GTI.

Thought to my self hmmm another GTI, very nice (Borat style). Next thing, I heard a honk coming from the direction of my fellow GTI owner/driver/rider/enthusiast. In the drivers seat the gentleman had a rather large smile upon his face and a big thumbs up! So I returned with an equally large smile and 2 thumbs up.

That cheered me up no end for the rest of the day!  I was losing all hope of meeting a fellow nerd lover of all things GTI on the road.

Has any body else experienced this? 

Or i could of misunderstood and the gentleman might of found me attractive!  cheered me up anyway.

I always give a flash (not arrested yet) or a thumps up to other GTI owners! Some respond, some don't! Always makes me smile when they respond (and annoys my wife). Post your "meeting" in the spotted section, you may get a reply!

I remember vividly being given a very vigorous 'wanker' salute years ago by some lad in a Nova SR. I was in my Dad's Polo and had my nose a bit too far out of a junction and he had to swerve a wee bit to avoid me. Still makes me laugh
