^^^^ looks really good fella, you must be chuffed. Lot of work getting it to look like that.  :happy2:

Pretty sure (now) that I'm going for an R32 rear on my Eddy and after seeing Top Cat's pic of his old car I will be getting the 2 sections joined and smoothed.

No import charge as its from the european union, just 15euro postage if your getting them from Kunzmann.

And yes you would need to do the fog light swap or just take the red reflector out and use a coloured bulb for the fog.

They are plug and play but it is advisable to get someone with vcds to disable the bulb monitoring as this can cause the leds to flicker on start up and shorten the life of them and could cause premature failure of the units
gotcha, thanks for that, would like to see the diff on a cer with swapped units and one with the fog light bulb and reflector replaced as I am not understanding the diff

Thanks mate. Yes really love the new look. Its how I've wanted it since getting the GTI :happy2:

I also prefer the smoothed look but will have to leave that for now.

MC71  i would be interested in your eddy rear valance to fit on my tornado red gt tdi sport, when you get around to the R32 rear end.  :drinking:

^^^^ sorry but it will be going into storage in the garage for when the car gets returned to standard (one day)!

No idea of the quality but you could go for a non OEM one from eBay.....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Golf-Mk5-Rear-Bumper-Spoiler-Edition-30-NKTuning-/150595541746?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2310319af2

Geniune ED30 lower bumper section with integrated valance is about £300+ IIRC from VW.  They do pop up on here every now and again for about half that, usually.

Cheers, Martin

Hey,

Sorry to resurrect this but are these http://www.kunzmann.de/shop/en/tuning-styling-vw-golf-5-v-led-rear-lights-set-candy-red-for-vw-golf-5-v.htm darker than the original OEM cherry red lights?

Thanks  :happy2:

no apologies needed for resurrecting the main thread subject, it has went a bit sideways after all
I think these lights are just the standard European led rears, not available here and as far as I can tell will have to ALL be swapped over with regards to the fog and reverse light being on the wrong sides.
a few ways to do this as im sure you already know, there was a company on e-bay selling the very dark ones although they are modified by the company selling them, as far as I know this is the only company currently selling the dark ones but saying that they are very unhelpfull, not rude just very slow at replies and they do not have the dark ones for sale at the moment with no ideas as to the likelihood of more stock in the future
if you like I can give you the link to their web site and they currently run a shop on e-bay,, I think it is called aks tuning but I would need to check this if you are interested.
the link you supplied looks like the standard cherry shading as the item title suggests.
if anyone knows of anywhere that currently sells the darker versions of these lights, and if they have done the lights darker I would assume they have already swapped the interior bulbs for uk cars then let me know as I cant find anywhere and have only seen 1 car with these fitted

They are darker than the OEM gti lights, they are roughly the same as the darker ed30/r32 lights. Pivot them in my build thread in various light and loads of others builds on the forum.

sorry you are right it is bks tuning
also replying to other reply are you saying there is different variations with regards to the darkness of the red surrounds on oem European led rear clusters ?
is this right, as my problem with the cherry red ones is they are just a bit to red and I would be interested in darker ones but need to be oem
cheers

The LED OEM ones only come in one colour and that is the colour they are on my car, robins car etc. The black ones on Nicks R32 are modified oem ones that have been tinted to black.
