You can get them to carry so much speed through bends, that extra power really isn't a benefit - I'd leave it reliable and stealth.

Stealth.... Subaru.

Isnt that an oxymoron?  :signLOL:

Yeah the dash etc is sh*t... I think they look great in a daft way, theyre far from pretty though

Think ill just leave it alone then and just use it as it is.

Have you ever driven one on track tony ?

Last one - will winter tyres be worthwhile or will it be ok ? Ive never had a 4 wheel drive car

There ok then pics , thought you said it was filthy, thought they'd been out ragging it

What are people's thoughts on black roof and bonnet scoop/ intake ? Got a feelin it'll look good.

And what about mapping ? It seemed plenty quick enough, can't imagine what it's be like with another 50-60hp
me personnally wouldn,t bother with the black roof or bonnet scope

+1, I wouldn't go with a black roof and scoop either mate, will look a bit typically ricey and it's too lovely a colour to hide, plus imo the black roof thing has been done to death now...

I'd buy a set of bilsteins, some naughty pads for those lovely 6 pot Brembos, some track rubber then give it the bifters till you laugh yourself sick  :happy2:

they are good in the snow with normal tyres on but even betteer with all snow tyres on them--only down side is the tread of the tyre isn't got to be greater than 3 mm or it can cause problems in the diff--so don't get a unfixable puncture :surprised:

Much appreciated thanks

There are a few sets on ebay that seem reasonable, one benefit of 17s at least ...

Yeah hawk eyes do look nice but I'd still go blob eye for my favourite impreza ever...wr1

Plus, all the Hawkeyes have the 2.5 motor which isn't as tuneable as the 2.0 and doesnt seem to pick up and rev as cleanly as the 2.0..
