New paint - can I....
« on: December 02, 2012, 07:55:16 pm »
Getting the car back tomorrow after warranty wings repair and OCD wants me to get some wax on especially given it's winter.

Can I wax the new paint? Should I hold off polish and glaze before wax though?

Thanks

I heard this question a while back. The answer seemed to be that you should leave new paintwork a month to fully set before doing anything to it.

Use G|Techniq C2 diluted 5-10% for the next few months. You will be fine..

When i got new paint on my old car i was told i could use polishes and glazes, but not waxes or sealants as the paint has to breath. I don't know how much difference it makes though.
