RNS510 and midline. Coding needed?
« on: November 27, 2012, 07:27:44 pm »
I've managed to persuade the other half to get me an RNS510 for Xmas.

Currently I have a mfsw and midline display.  I realise if I had the highline I would have the rns display on the dash.

My question is, do I need to get the rns coded or is it just just a straight swap over?

Probably a stupid question.

Cheers,

Paul

Hey Paul,

Just requires you to tell the can gateway you have installed sat nav.

Tick number 37 in the installation list, job done  :happy2:

If you have the oem amp under your passenger seat (sound pack option) then you'll also need to code the rns510 for it to lower its output to the amp.
Without traction power is nothing!

Thanks for the reply Bacillus but my car doesn't have such luxuries.
