Drivers Side Dash Air Vent
« on: November 16, 2012, 12:40:26 pm »
Now this comes out of the dash very easily  :happy2:

But can you pull it to bits and put it back together again ? it looks as if it does but can't get it apart .

Can't find any previous threads or anywhere on internet .

Need to take the surround off the replacement one i have sourced and put my one on it as mine is in better condition . The little lever on the front of mine (the bit with the silver bit on it) has broken so i cannot divert the air onto the side window

Thanks

If you have plenty of patience you should be able to unclip the vent tab from the new unit and attach it to your old unit. If memory serves it is two pieces with clips top an bottom at the end of the tab. You sort of have to open the tab a little to unclip it  :driver:

My drivers side vent decided to jump out of it's clips whilst I was fitting my RNS510.... took longer to get the vent back together than to fit the whole bloody stereo!!
