^^^By that sub I assume you'd say the R32 upgrade isn't worth it either? The Porsche calipers are much lighter than the R32's surely?
i wouldn't say it's not worth swapping to R32 from GTI, because there is a great improvement in braking (supposedly, i've never driven hard on a car with R32 brakes). but between the Boxster calipers and 312mm discs and Boxster S calipers and 330mm discs i doubt there's much in it. after all, DaveB picked the first option, and i'm sure he did that for a reason.
between the R32 and the Boxster, well i went for the Boxsters. they're more expensive initially, but they look miles better (the calipers - the rotor size is a bit anaemic lol) and if DaveB's tests are anything to go by they're more resistant to fade and lighter whilst providing similar braking ability. to me the lightness was the key. the calipers weigh nothing at all.
