3m headlight restoration kit
« on: November 25, 2012, 03:53:36 pm »
As above I used this today on our mk5 as the head lights were terrible! And this kit has brought the headlight back to life and makes the car look 100 times better! I looked at the YouTube video for a guide and I followed that but would recommend wetting the headlights during all stages as it works much better and is easier and doesnt clog the pads as much  :driver:

Before  :surprised:

During

After  :jumpmove:

If you wet it at all stages you could probably do a headlight an hr, I got the kit from elite car care, but they are one eBay too

I can't see that restoring headlights that were as bad as mine, it might be good to put on them now to protect them though. I have given them a coat of collinite for now

You've achieved great results with that kit.  I've a spare old headlight, so will give that stuff a try next week then onto the main headlights afterwards.

Spooky, did my 10 year old bora's headlights with this kit yesterday as the mot guy said he would fail it next time due to the headlight lenses, and got the same results, should have took some before and after pics, it has improved the light output dramatically  :happy2:
