WALK
« on: November 26, 2012, 10:32:12 am »
Where abouts is the best place to get a WALK from these days? Prices seem to differ so much on the net

Im fully aware its not always best just looking for the cheapest supplier (in case of a problem or something)

Wasnt it determined that the superpro bushes are better (and cheaper) than  the WALK?? - since there has been quite a few failures of the WALK bushes?

....If you haven't bought the S3 arms yet it is definitely worth looking into and buying the whole SuperPro lightweight arm and ALKs package.

Has to be the SuperPro ALK.  Far better quality than the Whiteline versions.

Take a look at the review of the Whitelines here: (from page 23) http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,395.345.html

....I would consider selling the S3 arms and buying the SuperPro ALK. Alex at AKS's prices are very competitive.

Are'nt the arms in the comprehensive kit that AKS are selling the same as the S3 ally arms? (providing his kit is the same as this one -
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SuperPro-Supaloy-Alloy-Lower-Control-Arms-Anti-lift-Kit-VW-Golf-MK5-MK6-GTI-R32-/130798917809?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e743918b1)

If so, could i just get the SuperPro consoles and inboard bush separately and use the arms i already have?

The S3 arms you already have are the same as the SuperPro arms.

There are a couple of options.  The front bush you need for the wishbones is the SPF3346K.  You can either use your current consoles, push the rubber bush out and replace with SPF3273K which has the anti lift feature and adds caster.  Or, use the ALOY3273-80K which is a replacement console with the bush already bonded in and uses a metal sleeve.

I will send you a PM with prices  :drinking:

How much is a set of SuperPro arms? I've already got a SuperPro ALK and it's sweet!

Retail is £499 + vat.

That incudes arms, bushes and ball joints.
