I wouldn't touch anything other than a plasma for my main viewing pleasures.
To be honest I have a Pioneer plasma which is untouchable in terms of quality and picture, ask any tv expert worth their salt!!
Unfortunately Pioneer stopped making plasma's due to pricing (they couldn't be competitive) with the likes of $hitty LG and Samsung - not enough enthusiasts with enough money for their brand.
The Pioneer Kuro is by far the best tv ever made................end of!!

Going forward I will just have to bite the bullet and go the next best thing - Panasonic!!   :sad1:

Pioneer kuro - still the benchmark that most tv's are compared against in tests.

Still sell for top prices 2nd hand.

Thats what i have to play with. So gonna pull the unit out 8" and put the sub behind it.

Ideally i would like it up on the chimney breast, but it would be a lot of work!

I'd second that :happy2:

We have a 50" Pioneer Kuro Plasma, a few 42" Panasonic Viera Plasma's and a 50" Samsung Plasma and I'd rate them in that order

The Pioneer is something else!

Panasonic plasma. FIN!

Agreed ^^

Check out the comprehensive reviews over on AVForums. They gave one of the 2012 VT50 Panny's reference status which hasn't been given since the Pioneer Kuro days (in its class).
