Hello, just got a MK5 GTI and figured this would be the best place to sign up to

The Mrs and me done a lot of travelling at the weekend to get the car, I think we ended up on nearly every form of transport there is. Plane from Belfast to Manchester, train to Huddersfield, then drove down to stay the night with friends in Basingstoke and back up to the ferry at Cairnryan on Sunday night.

Really enjoying the GTI, so comfy and a lot more equipment than my previous car (clio 172). I'll get a few pics up when I've got the car cleaned as its a little dirty after the 708.1 miles travelled at the weekend.

Didn't need to do all that driving but we thought we may as well make a weekend of it and meet up friends, seeing as the flights and ferry were costing so much!

It's standard at the moment apart from an Alpine flip down monitor for the back. The mods I've got in mind are cosmetic, smoked side indicators, R32 rear lights, new rear VW badge and wheel inserts (curse that whiteworm corrosion)...and maybe a few other bits but undecided. I'm sure I'll get bit by the tuning bug soon enough
