I like the blue/red combo personally :happy2:

Go and take a drive at night in a new vw, then you can see.

I have white dials in my skoda now, I have to say I did prefer the blue if I had to pick one over the other

I think if the R32 clocks had a highline like on newer car they would look nicer

Yes if it had the black/white display it would look better :happy2:

Even nicer (although mk6):
Diamond Black 2007 (56) Golf GTI 3Dr DSG ¦ 18" Monza II's ¦ Cruise control ¦ MFSW ¦ Highline ¦ Rear parking sensors ¦ PDT Stage 1 ¦ Forge Twintake ¦ H&R Sport Springs ¦ NQSBBK ¦ R32 Rear bumper ¦ BCS Powervalve Sports R32 style TBE ¦ Valeo LED Rear Lights ¦ Xenon lights with HID kit ¦ DNX521DAB ¦ 12mm Spacers all round ¦

This tells you that he has a diesel (see his sig). . . which is why I wondered why you were still so surprised at 45mpg (very easily achieved in a diesel)

Personally I like original red/blue combo better!

There is fine line to be drawn between mods which improves the driving experience and those altering your car visually.... I tend to limit the latter to minimum to leave my gti as genuine looking as possible....

but sky and my wallet is the limit for the former

See which one suit you best and decide

yeah I do post a lot for a new person but I find this site great and better than phoning the stealers to ask any questions as they are normally clueless tbh
I think I have been on here for about 6 weeks instead of a month but yeah I suppose 590 posts in 6 weeks is a fair bit but most people on here are very helpful and actually nice to chat to.
so far from this site I have got advice on and then went and bought
rns510 h led
shark fin gps
mk6 camera
mk6 mfsw
chrome interior
full led interior
set of eagle asym 2s
Bluetooth
wash / detailing stuff from top to bottom
interior styling
drl's
some body art
hub restorer's
have also found good reliable supplier of parts
good fitter not to far from me
now hunting for r32 clocks & European led rear clusters

so hence how many posts as I like to ask A LOT of questions before I buy an item as it's a lot of £££s
guides on here also are great and a real help
yeah but saying that dude I am still a forum noob lol

yeah I agree paul, all mods I do are oem parts to be fair as I don't like cars that have stupid bits hanging of them, I wish I could have a look at an r32 clock display in person as that would help, I have just bought a mk6 mfsw you see and I only have midline clocks so I need to upgrade to highline, this is the reason I am looking at changing to the r32 clocks, either that or I install highline only or replace my clocks with another set of gti ones with highline,,, not sure what to do tbh

ok guys I cant decide on this, r32 owners say their clocks are best and gti owners saying theirs is the best lol.
I need to see in person if possible someone who has a GTI,,, note a gti with r32 clocks installed in them.
I think I need to see this in person to decide.
if not possible then someone who owns an r32 with their original clocks if I cant get the first option.
I live in banchory which is in Aberdeenshire, is anyone aware of anyone up this neck of the woods who may be able to help
thanks in advance
