I completely disagree with boxing... It should be banned in my opinion.

Don't ever watch WEC on 419 on sky then that's brutal!! I hope he does well even if he does not win, i just hope he puts in a respectable effort

He won......on points!

He got floored in the second, got up and worked hard, went forward and won 39-38 (close one)

Commentary said it was more of a slip.

8 tense minutes of 'boxing' and its over thank goodness.

Lets hope that's the end of Freddie's ambitions inside the ring, and boxing can move forward rather than relying on the publicity of a has-been cricketer. Freddie's lucky his American opponent was so unfit; his short left in the 2nd round had him down and a fitter man would have capitalised and finished the job.

Impressive training regime to lose the weight and remain strong, Freddie should continue his tv punditry and game show duties and enjoy his achievements.

Why should he stop there? I think its a great achievement, and if he wants to continue, let him. He has come a very long way in 8 months and with more training, more bulk and strength i think he would do ok. If he wants the challenge, then i think it would be great.

However, from the start he did mention he only wanted the one fight.

Cracking night, the crowd were amazing and the atmosphere to! Well done to freddy he done well no matter what some people may think! Like to see the gob sh*tes put the same amount of effort instead of just slating him, if people comment without seeing first hand what he's gone through to achieve this then they should back off and leave it be.

Like watched this , he did look very determined , but he cannot throw a punch it was cringe worthy , as said if the other fighter would've had anything in him at all he would've got battered ..

Ive not sen the fight yet, but id bet he'll have forgotten everything he was taught.  Every guy i've coached and taken to their first bout has forgotten everything they have been taught before hand.

It looked that way. He was just really eager to knock him down / out so got carried away .. Was amusing

Deffo far to eager to finish his opponent.

He even admitted that it wasn't the most technical of fights - his right hand punches need a lot of work, but he does seem to have a fairly decent left jab.

Kudos to him for having the stones to get in the ring  :happy2:
