OEM straight fit with CD/DAB/Bluetooth
« on: July 03, 2024, 10:26:31 am »
Hi fellas,  New Edition 30 owner here (57 plate, but Feb 08 registered)

Please can someone recommend the best OEM VAG stereo upgrade I can fit without having to mod that has a CD player, bluetooth and DAB?

I currently have a poverty spec OEM FM tuner / CD stereo in there with a broken LCD screen, so it's coming out at some point, but I want OEM and with the above if possible.  I'm not bothered about sat nav, but if it has this and DAB, what will I have to fit in addition to get it working with regards to aerials/additional loom?

Many thanks in advance!

I have the RCD510DAB in mine.  I had to retrofit the OEM DAB antenna from a Mk6, but all works fine.

I also have the FISCON Bluetooth module that connects to it and allows the phone button to work.

The DAB antenna from the mk6, is this a fakra connector?  Where does it fit in the vehicle?

I've just purchased an RNS315 with DAB and bluetooth and have checked my CAN gateway and is thankfully this revision:  1K0 907 530 L - Which apparently is what I want to avoid the battery drain issue, so no having to upgrade the gateway in addition.

I just need to sort out microphone, GPS and DAB aerial connections
