In the end I went for the F1 Asy 2's and immediately felt the difference! I have so much more grip now and feel much more confident when taking turns!

£475 for four fitted too so a pretty good price! :happy2:

I'm either going to fit Mich Pilot Super Sports , or Yok's AD08's as I run those on 2 other cars and cant complain about their performance at all.  :happy2:

I do run Winter wheels / tyres on the Gti though so i'm not looking for an all year round tyre.

GY F1 all the way.  The Ed35 has crappy Dunlop Sportmaxx's on which are rapidly wearing out and when they do(shoudlnt be too long), it will be F1's allround.  Im so impressed with them Ive even fitted them to my 'Sportline' Kombi.

I went for the Michelin Pilot Sport 3's, they are incredibly grippy in both wet and dry, but the guys in Tyre City advised they do last significantly longer than the GY F1 Assy's. However, the downside is they are noisier than the Pirelli P Zero Rosso's I've had previously.

Swings and roundabouts really, once you're into Michelin/Continental/Pirelli/Goodyear territory, they are all excellent, but all have an area where they perform less well than the others. I guess it's up to you which weakness you can live with the most.

For me, cabin noise is immaterial, it's usually drowned out by House music!  :jumpmove:
