Just checked the dv and pcv on my 55 plate gti today, dv is ripped so that needs doing but i could do with some advice on the pcv. When the dipstick is pulled out on idle, the car hunts badly, if the filler cap is removed the car stalls. I presume this suggests all is ok but if you remove the flexi pipe from manifold to pcv and blow down there is no restriction, is this right ? I would have thought there would be a check valve in there somewhere.
