These Wheels (Ebay link)
« on: June 24, 2009, 11:53:52 pm »
Guys,

Came across these - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260429357695#ebayphotohosting

Very different, because I honestly don't think I've seen them before on a car in the flesh. Are they a replica of something very common on the Mk2 TT's or something, or perhaps face-lift A3's?

I think they'd look smart and although they're probably not the right fitment for a Mk5, wondered if they were any pics of Mk5's with anything like that?

Just struck me as different. I'd like to avoid the Monza 2/Pescara/RS4 rep route and have something a little less common and they popped up in my budget. Ideally multi spokes of some sort would be perfect. Turini's are too expensive and too rare so while I'm saving, I'd like to consider the alternatives.

Opinions welcome  :happy2:

Thanks,

Peter.

The ones in the ebay link are the wrong stud pattern, these would fit the Mk4 Golf etc.

SteveP, knocks that on the head then, cheers :)

What's the take on these, they look delicious on the facelift TT's:

I know a few of the members on here have them.
How heavy are they?
Can they be picked up for less than a £1k?
If VW centre caps can be found for them, then they go on the list with Turinis? :)

Thanks,
Pete.

Certainly based on the centre cap design they are replicas of a current Audi design.

Indeed, little more common than I thought.

I've seen a few members running them. They look a tasty dish.

How about the new facelift RS6 style in 18", anyone running them on here? (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=250452112074#ebayphotohosting)
