« on: December 02, 2012, 10:17:53 pm »
Hi, is anybody able to tell me which is the fuse for the instrument cluster /clocks and would it be ok to disconnect this for 5 mins or so?

Cheers.  :happy2:

The actual fuse positions seem to vary with different year cars (thanks VW).
I would just disconnect the battery instead to reboot everything. You'll get a few dashboard warning lights on reconnection but those should extinguish themselves with a short drive.
Without traction power is nothing!

Tell me about it, have tried to google it and finding lots of different answers. I have already disconnected and connected the battery a handful of times. :rolleye:

Finally found it- just for reference it was F17 (5A) in the engine compartment. So much for the handbook which listed F17 being the horn.

Do you have any ideas or clues what it could be? It only happens on the home menu, all others are normal. :sad1:

Are you able to change what parameters appear on the screen?

I got my polar and audio menus back but it still freezes when I try to change the peramiters

Swapped back to my old gateway and it has not made a difference

No I have not been brave enough to try changing the parameters lol. Just want to get my display back first- one step at a time lol.

I pulled the stereo fuse out for 5 mins and that has solved the lost screen issues

The clock comes up on the open door screen for me too.

I'm tempted to try and install an older firmwear.

fwiw with the latest firmware 3.0 I have no such issues with my silver polar.

I must caution you on trying to downgrade to the earlier 0.2.7 version if you are using a 7NO canbus gateway in light of my own experiences with the two.

Polar now think that I have a faulty unit and will be sending me a new one

So I am hoping that will fix the problems
