We've had one for years, loaded the pics and had it on for a day or two max!

And as for spending £300 on one!!  :surprised:  No way, buy an iPad for them instead!


....Apparently you can get a good one for ~£100 nowadays. Agree totally about the folly of spending as much as £300 on one when iPads can be bought for that kind of money.

@ Rich:
iPads do quite different things and a 3G/4G version costs nearer £400 AFAIK.

I thing RR it might suit your daughter pretty well as new models can be used as an external display as well connected to a computer if need be

....The external/extra display could be extremely useful to her studies. In fact, this year while at uni, it would suit her needs far better than an iPad. Next year when she's (hopefully!) got a job, a 3G/4G iPad would suit her needs on the move.

I wouldn't spend £50 on one... they are usually very cheaply made, with poor cpu/ram/touch screen etc.  An iPad can be setup to be a photo frame quite easily.. then the billion other things it can do...
