hmm, $90 dollars is a lot but it looks better with the raised rubber I think,
http://http://www.osirusa.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=OU&Product_Code=VGTI-ORST-R&Category_Code=
some of the osirusa things are crazy money I see
do you think it is worth trying to get a group buy on these ?
anyone interested in starting it up ?

Id def be in on a group buy Scott  :happy2:

I would have liked to set one up but I'm away for christmas and new year from wednesday next week.

However I spoke to Bold Sport last week when I saw they wanted to charge £17 shipping for each footrest
I tried to see how much shipping would cost if we bought 10 footrests. The website calculated that each item would be charged for the up-to-1kg shipping option.  :jumping:

I thought it must be an error so I emailed Bold-Sport asking how much shipping would cost for 10 OSIR Footrests.

They came back with….

"Hi carlo

we have last 3 set only, the total wegith around 750g, shipping cost to uk

Air Parcel with Tracking (10-21 working days) NOT include customs £12.54
EMS Express Mail (3-7 working days) NOT include customs inspection £21.36

thanks"

Then…

"sorry, the shipping cost should be
Air Parcel with Tracking (10-21 working days) NOT include customs £17.00
EMS Express Mail (3-7 working days) NOT include customs inspection £20.78"

Here is the Bold-Sport link. (Looks like they are out of stock now anyway)  :booty:

http://www.bold-sport.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=237

Like I say Id be up to joining a Group Buy, but Im not in a situation to organise one. Custom duty would need to be considered too when importing.

I now think MC71's Link is the way to go at £49

Is that the shipped price too Martin?   :notworthy:

Oh Lordy just look at it

yeah I just ordered just now through mc-71's link
the price includes free shipping also
looks very good quality, crack on guys
if anyone buys let us knows to see who gets delivery first lol
will it get through customs or will I get a letter telling me to pay a charge ? I dunno
whatever it is it is

@scott

There should be no import duty due on this item as its below the amount at which Import Duty/Tax is added/charged for this region (£135). I have never paid Import Duty on any items but it is payable on "Car Parts" and is 4.5% of the value of the goods and then and 20 % VAT on top, so approx' another £9.50 but as I say I've NEVER paid any or been asked to pay any. Hard to say if this is a "car part" or would come under another category.

EDIT: for future reference. This is the duty calculator I use.....

Have a good one.  :happy2:

I think Ill order one around the 21st of December.

Then I know I'm not gonna have a failed delivery. Dont the P.O only keep mail for a few weeks and then return to sender?

(mind you I doubt they will be in a rush to send it back abroad)  :ashamed:

Is the plastic footrest easy to get out?  Just a few bolts?

2 screws. Should by easy but I found the torx one kept turning so gave up. Gonna have another bash and try and force the panel a but when attempting to unscrew the torx.

If you could get both out first time it would be a 10 min job.

Cheers, shall give it a go tomorrow.  I had it stuck on with pink grip but that didn't last very long  :ashamed:

I had the exact same issue, which is the reason I stuck mine on...for 18 months now.

I need to get round to giving it a 3rd go. This time I was planning on just pulling out the one which doesn't screw out :fighting:

You seem to be in a lucky minority.  Knowing my luck I think it's going to be safe to say I won't be removing it tomorrow!
