  I'm interested as to why this is in the photography section? Are there camera specific powerline adapters i am unaware of?

i have used those and have always done me well.

Depending on what you want to use them for do a bit of research on power used when idle and transfer speeds, obviously from house to house the transfer speed will vary.

Nevermind... bought some netgear ones and a gigabit switch for behind the TV

I had 600Mb/s Comtrend ones, they worked well enough.  Worth noting none of them work over different ring mains.

YEah thats cool... all sockets are on the same circuit.

great bit of kit... i went for the d-link ones with built in repeater. They seem to work well..... even the ones on a different fuse board

Surprised by that!  Is the throughput way down?

i have no idea  .... but there must be a link in there somewhere. I do lose another 10MB on the second ring + 10MB through the orginal powerline..... still gives me a healthy 30MB though

Sorry I must have explained it wrong.

If I plug into my bedroom on I get 40MB. If I plug into new part of house on different fuse board I only get 30MB. hth
