Ah right ok, yeah I'll be taking it on the track a fair bit next year hopefully but thanks for the info on them!

Oh and for the NQSBBK kit, are the pads going to be any different in price just because they fit into a Porsche Caliper? I noticed a lot of the BBK's I've looked at use standard shape pads so are easily available at a good price when coming to replace them

Does anyone know the exact model of Porsche for the calipers in the NQSBBK? I've had a look online and spoke to my local Porsche parts manager and he's said there's about 10 different calipers for the 986/987 Cayman/Boxster.

I know nothing about Porsche but apparently there are different calipers for models. You've got 986-987 Boxster and Boxster S, Cayman gen 1 and gen 2? He also said he's sold a few sets off the 996 Turbo but they have all been for Mk4 Golfs

The short answer is that it doesn't really matter. Any Boxster/Cayman 2.5/2.7/2.9 calipers will do

DaveB does do a kit with the 996TT caliper too

I've been told the front pads for Porsche Boxster 986 (97-04), Porsche Boxster 987 (05+) and Porsche Cayman (06+) are all the same and will fit the NQSBBK.
Without traction power is nothing!

Taken from DaveB's thread on the NQS BBK.

For the Calipers the part numbers you need are 986 351 421 & 422

Just a brief explanation of part numbers:

First three are the model number 986=Boxster, 996=911, 955=Cayenne

351 = Front brakes

421 Left Caliper (odd numbers) & 422 Right Caliper (Even numbers)

Dont buy anything with a 352 in the part number they are rear calipers and the pistons are too small for a Mk5
