V8 & V12 Coffee Tables
« on: December 05, 2012, 09:05:34 pm »
Hi guys

I have been making V8 and V12 coffee tables for some time now, have just been using eBay, however plans are now to start to advertise in mags, and where ever else possible.

Anyway, I was after some feedback, good or bad, I don’t mind..

Product itself?
Price?
Reasons not for having one?
Any new ideas? (not wine racks though please)
Website usability?

I think they look awful.
Prices seem ok
Main reason for not having one - I can't think of a less elegant table than these
New ideas, redesign how they sit, those adjustable feet look poor. Also how the glass top is supported...really focus on these areas as they detract from the engine block itself. The little details are very important and here they spoil the overall effect.
Website is fine, nothing too fancy which is ok.

I would like to see these with heads fitted.

The adjustable feet on the v8 table are valves by the look of it.  They strong enough to support the blocks ok?

Product itself? Love it. My kind of product.
Price? Ok I guess. Not much else out there to compare with.
Reasons not for having one? I can't think of one.
Any new ideas? (not wine racks though please) My table has a lower shelf. Not easy to do but it might be useful for remotes etc.
Website usability? Ok. Ditch the jerky scrolling on the home page,  :happy2:

The land of broken cars.  :signLOL:

V6, V8 or V12 I can understand. Straight 4 or 5 is a little boring methinks.

There very good and look ace, however i do think the price may be an issue....
Reason behind price for me would be
1. Theres no way in hell the mrs would let me spend 500 on a engine table
2. She and maybe all other women wouldnt want one in the lounge, most men want 1 because we love cars, most women hate cars because there men love them, so bassicaly i doubt many women would want of these in there house at all...
3. I would love one to put in my games room but just for my games room it will hardly get used/noticed as the mrs wont have it in the lounge

Theres a line i think, and if the mrs would let me then yea id rather spend 500 on a proper metal table than 300/700 on a wood table! But again its the facking women,

Im sure some women will like them tho, id love one  :sad1:

Hope that makes sense

As for new ideas....how about a turbo converted into a lamp!!!!!
