Really struggled to get of the line, they say with the DSG remap you can use launch control at 4000rpm, tried that and was beaten of the line by a diesel van  :ashamed:

I dont suppose the heat on Sunday helped the times and without a full tank and an empty car at The Pod I could loose a 10th or two.

Great day, nice to see you all  :happy2:

So Neil,

basically the Quaife either gave you the 100th of a second to beat me at the end, or slowed you down off the mark?

The Pod should be a good 1/4 to 1/2 a second quicker Neil, so we could be knocking on the door of the 12's  :jumping:

Now I've learnt the best way off the line and now the REVO has adapted and with less than half a tank in instead of the 3/4 of a tank I had in at Inters.....it should be verrrrryyy interesting to see what the old girls do eh? :happy2:

I ran a 12.60 at Pod and a 12.79 at Inters, and my car is way stronger now.. I think about 3-4 tenths is about right, will be interesting to see how much faster the cars go with some traction off the line!

I reeeeeeealy want to get into the 11's with a K04, how possible it is im really not sure, but im going to give it a good try .. Hopefully should have time to do a few more bits in time for the next meet there!

NeilM:
It would be good to see what it would do with someone who knew what they where doing at the wheel, (anyone fancy a go at the Pod?). I'm sure the way I have to use the launch control is not the quickest and its difficult to stop the wheels spinning with the hand controls, they are a bit all or nothing.
May try some better rubber as well.

Phil Mcavity:
If im there Neil, i dont mind having a go.Might send me down that slippery slope
