« on: December 07, 2012, 05:22:29 pm »
First time I started topic. Hey guys I am fairly new been edition 38 forum user for 7 years and head about your forum so joined up and now spend more time on here reading. Edition gone way to commercial. Anyway in process of trying to find the right edition 30 was hoping manual and after reading all the threads on here going to go dsg. Anyway what I would like to know is, are all dsg flappy paddle as I really want this also is there any major issues I need to look at. I have been looking weeks without finding anything must be 3 door prefer grey but will go black or silver also Defo not into red. Budget of around £10k I know loads of threads been on here any info about highline would be great also. I have found one on eBay miles are a bit up then I wanted and bit chaved up but nothing I couldn't sort out with hair dryer and some solvent remover what are your thoughts on this car is it a member on here???? Item number 281033444460 thanks for any help bow

I think all the edition 30 DSGs will have paddle shifts as it was only the early gtis that the paddle shift was an option
And later ones had paddles as standard

Hi Bow,

Welcome to the site ,

I think any electrical  mods like Hiline   , RNS510  , BT  ,RVC  etc  Eddie-nl  can sort you out

Dont be put off by a basic spec car most things can be added

Hi thanks for replys. Sorry I'm not quite sure what the abbreviations that you put are I know one is stereo. I just wanna know everything I can about edition 30 dsg/ Pirelli dsg I don't think they all came with flappy paddle as couple on autotrader are dsg and I can't see nothing on steering wheels. Anymore people that could help be great

MFSW  multifunction sterring wheel

RVC  rear view camera

BT   blue tooth

RNS-510   navunit-stereo

MDI   multi device interface

CC  cruise control

Eddie-nl    does  all off these at a very affordable price and he fits it so well and with such care it look like it was done at the factory . I would also look for a car with Xenons

Don't get one mate, horrible cars. Not that nice to drive and big bills.

Just kidding

A steel grey 3 door DSG will set you up nicely, there should be a few about. I would think one with under 50,000 miles within a £10k budget is just just about realistic(?).
Keep checking the 'Cars for sale' section on this forum, avidly check Autotrader and also eBay motors which can source you some good dealerships around the place to keep an eye on.

^ This is exactly what I did when I was looking for my 3door Steel Grey GTI back in 2009  :happy2:

The silver ed30 you found from ebay has after market paddle extensions fitted onto the paddles, they are not that long standard so might be why you can't immediately see them on other DSG cars.

Mate it's like an illness I find myself scanning every single car sales I can imagine trying to find one lol. there was one on here think his name is robbo, love it but I haven't got £12.5 yet. Also been in contact with spencer uk about his Pirelli but its 93k I am going to go up and view I think but really want a low miles and steel grey. Also has to have flappy paddles and I want this highline everyone talks about although I don't really know much about it. You guys use so many abbreviations on here I get a little confused some of it is obvious but I have struggled lol. Thanks for everyone's input I truly like it on here better then edition 38 at moment

Also thanks for info on the flappy paddles, this car has thrashed to bits look all about it so I decided against it
