Edition 30 vs R32 - Which would you choose & why?
« on: December 11, 2012, 09:37:56 am »
Hello all!

So I'm looking at switching back from diesel to petrol again soon and wanted something a little special. After test driving the mark 5 R32 I fell in love with it's soundtrack! I seriously think I could sit their & use an entire tank of fuel revving just for that noise. The power delivery was very linear and it was a very fun drive.

I tried the Edition 30 which felt just as quick and I didn't notice any turbo lag at all.

Of course logically the Edition 30 is the most sensible car due to the huge running costs of the R32, (£460 road tax ouch)

Which one would you go for & why? I don't really intend to mod...yet.

Cheers!

They are both great cars. The only advice I can give is test drive both cars and weigh up the pro's and con's yourself. Either way you will enjoy ownership with either of these cars.

If your still struggling after that then search it on this forum. It gets mentioned a lot.

Cheers.

You will get a biased answer to be honest
ask the same question on the R32oc and you will also get a biased answer..... <pull the grenade pin and run>

If they are neck and neck (in your eyes), you might be better off just flipping a coin...

Cheaper running costs and better tuneability vs. 4 wheel drive and a spine tingling soundtrack - the choice is yours!

Lets not do this again, there was the very same thread a week or so ago, and plenty more if you search. Good luck with your decision!  :happy2:
