4WD in my GTI ?

so what's faster? a GTI or an R32 or an R32 with a GTI engine or a GTI with an R32 engine?

  I'd fancy a Stage 3 Ed30 engined R32 over a R32-engined Ed30!! I wish I was well off enough to find out!

The traction benefits of an R32 with the power of a remapped ED30 engine (Much less weight) = MUCH MORE FUN  , think of it as a Golf R on the cheap

GTI weight - 1303kg
R32 weight - 1447kg

Haldex weight (based on comparing A3 2.0T quattro and FWD variants) - 90kg

There's just over 50kg in it, and how much of that will be taken up once you add R32 brakes/rollbars for the extra weight etc?

Haha never really started this thread for the merits of 4 wheel driving my car , although have found the points made interesting 
Was just looking for more info on the swap itself before I start

The way I see it is

My car is worth around £6k
And pretty confident I can do the conversion for less than £2k

So I will eventually have a 360bhp 4wd GTI that I don't owe any money on or go out and find a similar car for around £8k which IMO will be very hard to find
