coilover fitment
« on: July 02, 2009, 07:30:16 pm »
Am looking at buying a set of eibach pro street s coilovers off a guy on ebay, They are the 55mm strut ones.
My car is a 55 plate golf mk5 gti. Are these the right ones, as i believe there are 50mm and 55mm strut models of golf??
thanks in advance!!!

According to Awesome, all GTis that they've seen so far come with a 55mm strut.

....

I don't know if the weight difference is a consideration or not, but won't a TDI engine be heavier as it's a diesel. If so, spring ratings might be different for a GTI.

Like I said, I didn't know for certain. It's good to confirm these things.
