The looks thing is a bit of a contentious issue. You either choose an A3 which is dull beyond contempt, a Golf which is slightly ordinary, or a 1-Series or A-Class which are both slightly weird looking. I don't think any of them could be considered good looking.

i'd say the A3 and Golf are handsome, the A-Class kinda funky but not my cup of tea, and the 1-Series ugly. BMW designers have proven they can make good looking cars (3, 4 and 5-er) but the 1 is just hideous.

if you don't like it, don't buy it. simples!

I like these , I think the front is awesome , the rear a little pony but still wouldn't stop me buying one. I'm going to chav around in my impreza for a year or two then will definately be getting another Beemer they're brilliant , the 125d with the dct gearbox is very tempting !

I think they look good tbh, the only problem I've got is I was going to buy one as my next car but my next door neighbour has just told me that he is buying a CSL. I'm not sure i can walk past one of those every day without buying one....
Also I've bought my last 2 M3s from him when he moved to his next car
