Maybe a little fussy on the front, I'm sure it'll look neater in M-sport trim with shadowline rather than chrome?

I quite like the look of the BMW 3 series (2010 model), but then I am planning on selling my ED30 to buy one (320D M Sport) need better MPG and quite happy paying £100 per year Road tax and only £285 insurance, will also come in handy for the 6 weekly 800 mile round trip to Manchester  :happy2:, also with 3 snowboard holidays coming up in next 4 months (we are driving so we get 3 good driving ski holidays instead of 1 good flying holiday) the extra MPG will prove very handy.  :happy2:

RWD does not bother me, had a couple of RWD Sierra Cosworths back in the day so I am accustomed to the joys of RWD.

4 Series looks great but not practical for me  :signLOL:

The old 135i coupe is better lookin, but only has two rear seats and doesn't drive as well, I buy a performance car for driving, looks come second. In terms of a hot hatch you buy the bet one on the market IMO

I think if we were all buying a hot hatch for looks we'd be buying an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Cloverleaf. But they're crap. For me the performance of the M135i makes the looks quite easy to overlook, if not quite love.

I think when you know a car is quick and has a presence that other people will respect or admire, it can make a car appear more attractive to you even if not on just the cosmetics alone.

...Which is why I begin to like the M135i more each time I see it action.

The prev-gen 1series coupe for me though is the naturally better looking car without doubt. I don't see many 135i coupe's up and down the country either. I think the new one will sell a little more given the feedback so far.

They will sell plenty, we have sold and delivered 5 m135i's already, imagine how many we will sell once have cars to demo prospective buyers in.

The looks thing is a bit of a contentious issue. You either choose an A3 which is dull beyond contempt, a Golf which is slightly ordinary, or a 1-Series or A-Class which are both slightly weird looking. I don't think any of them could be considered good looking.

I'm quite surprised... I was expecting the ED35 to come last. There wasn't that much in it, it was well down on power compared to the others, and quite weighty too I guess. So thats roughly how our stock ED30's would perform against the new class of hatches?
