Belated introduction
« on: December 15, 2012, 12:04:17 pm »
Hi guys! Well i joined the forum around 9 months ago as i was starting the search for a Mk5. After looking round the forum for about....... 3minutes i decided i had to have an Edition30. I waited so so patiently for the right one to come along and...

5 months later after a 10 hour round trip to perth and back i had (almost) exactly what i wanted sat on my drive. I literally enjoyed every second of the trip back!

4 months later i decide its time to introduce myself and the car.

It has just the options i wanted (DSG, winter pack, nav, highline) minus a few i REALLY wanted (MFSW, rns510, cruise). However i realise all these are pretty simple retro fits.

Got a few plans for her so far. In about 3 hours she will be sat on R-Tech’s rollers having a stage1 map and DSG software thrown on (this I am super excited for!). I already have an ITG Maxogen fitted.

In preparation for this I sourced myself a full set of 345/310 S3 brakes which I have fully refurbished. These will be fitted along with a Superpro anti-lift-kit, Superpro wishbone bushes and an H&R rear ARB courtesy of Alex @ AKS. The wishbone bushes are going into some S3 ally arms aswell.

Before she goes on the rollers ill have fitted a revision G diverter valve, revision N PCV valve and a new fuel pump cam follower.

Anyway I LOVE the car, and after today I expect I will even more!

Hope to get to a few meets now. I’m a regular at the DubFiction monthly meet in the High Peak and I will try my best to get around to some others.

Cheers
Steve

Lovely motor you got yourself there! Best colour aswell :P

Are you sure you've got the winter pack as it doesn't seem to have heated headlamp washer jets?

Hmm maybe not then. Thought the winter pack was heated seats/wing mirrors... Oh well 1 more option down  :sad1:

Heated seats are standard in the edition 30, heated wing mirror standard in gti :) Sorry to be the barer of bad news   :sad1:

Good news though is that you will have a stage 1 remap in a few hours! Plenty of hours of fun :D
