IIRC snowfoam is designed to cling to the car dirt directly so rather than pre-rinsing or "wetting" the car,  foam it first and let it dwell to do its business.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I always tend to put far too much snow foam on to get the car completely white  ... seems to do a good job either way tbh.

However, I'm using more of the Meguiars Soft wash now after prepping the car for winter, as I Think a lot of the snow foam cleaners are quite aggressive and strip the wax back.

i think they say to pre-rinse the car if it has heavy soiling on it prior to snow foaming.

with regards to the effectiveness of the product, it'll very much depend on how you dilute the bottle, they say 1" in the bottom then hot water on top..

i'm still playing around with SF.. but now onto magifoam with the AD HD lance.. results to come soon...

I found its easy to overboard on the concentration.  You only need a tiny bit.

Agree'd, Megs Hyperwash is the shampoo of choice here too.  There's no harm in giving the car a quick rinse down first and then increase the concentration of foam.
