Are these the right pads for 2005 GTI
« on: December 15, 2012, 09:21:27 pm »
Made an order to Eurocarparts because they had an offer on PAGID kit - even though I don't really need them atm.

I ordered these PAGID front pads and these PAGID rear pads

I used my numberplate and it came back as these being ok, but on the side of the box of the fronts it says for Golf MK5 R32.

As the R32 has bigger discs surely these won't fit..  Thoughts?

It's worth noting that it also states fitment to:

AUDI A3 03 -
AUDI TT 06 -
SEAT Leon 05 -

and

GOLF IV R32 02-03
GOLF V R32 05 -

I wouldn't have thought those would have the same size discs.

Proof is in the pudding I guess.

Euro car parts is a sea of miss described stuff. The r32 and gti pads are different.

I had to take mine back because they had given me the wrong ones. So noone can tell you if these wll fit because eurocarparts dont even know!

Might be better to just get oem pads from your local dealer. They shouldn't be any more expensive and you know you'll have the right ones.

Also those Pagid pads on ECP have had some poor reviews on here IIRC.

Bugger x2, thought they were meant to be good OEM VAG stuff... thinking now from the Above list... Audi A3 could be the 3.2 V6 and the TT could also be the same engine version, which probably had the bigger discs. Faff.

Thanks for your input guys.
