OK - For starters, all the usual things as you mention.

DSG Car - Take out for drive, check gearbox, is it jerky at all on take up or smooth? DSG oil should be changed every 40k. Other points - paint bubbling on arches, check boot, lift up carpet check for damp, usual pad/disc wear. Check 2Zone climate control. Make sure AC compressor is working - with engine running put onto low and check that ice cold air starts circulating after a min. If not it may need regassing/issue with AC pump (this is quite a common point of failure it seems).

Cambelt - Interval is 60k / 4 years which ever is sooner. Clarify as to whether the water pump was changed with the cambelt if it has had a change.

 :happy2:

Not a huge amount of specific points to check above and beyond the normal points really.

As above & also have a listen for knocking from front suspension. Both my MK5s had it. Cheap to fix, hard to find the cause usually and labour ain't cheap

Buy and eddy and remap it. U will never look back

As all said above, if its a good one you'll love it. Had mine over 4 years and it still gives me great pleasure to drive. If you get it........ ENJOY.

Make your mind up whether you want to buy it before you go an drive it as you will definitely want it after driving it .  :happy2:

Get the same buzz every time i drive mine as i did when on the test drive - Did 160 miles in mine yesterday , the first i have driven it since 9th November and it was fantastic , 112 more miles to get it to 20k ! Wish i had more journeys to do in it as its wasted on me being driven so little.
