Disc change

I need to change out my front discs, but not the pads (they're fine).

Can I take just off the caliper carrier with the two 21mm bolts - will the calipers & carrier come off together? Or must I remove the calipers first and then the carrier?

calipers bolt directly to hub, remove 2 bolts, little screw holding disc on usually siezed on.

And your old pads will be bedded to your old disks, So any deep scouring on the old disks may happen on the new ones.

I wouldn't use an old set of pads on new discs, but that's my OCD.

If there is plenty of meat left on the pads and there is only light scoring you can flat the surface by rubbing them on a sheet of abrasive paper which in turn on a flat surface like piece of glass. You have to be very carful that you don't wear down one side more that another.
Can be done - ive done it several times in my finacially poor youth.
But as has been said - best to fit new pads. Is running into the back of a car worth a few quid .....

Not quite

The calipers are bolted to the carrier. You need to take the caliper off and then remove the carrier.

For the price of a set of OE spec pads, I'd be chucking the old ones away.
