It was very disappointing indeed to have to reject your 'VAG Parking Only' photo but it was very poor repro quality for large size printing (but ok for smaller size web viewing). We chose it not because you and Carlo are good mates but for the shot - We had to remain very impartial to get the best calendar we could.
It was an amazing coincidence that Carlo and myself were parked in exactly the same spot but my photo wasn't quite good enough either - The bright sun was pointing directly into the camera and throwing light hex's. There simply wasn't the time to do what was needed for the subject to make the calendar's print production deadline.
Also, I would have felt very awkward substituting a photo of your car, Mike, in the same scene and with your 'VAG' line, with a pic of mine! I even searched your build thread for a good shot of yours but there wasn't one which met the photographic criteria (without going into detail, but format and backgrounds mostly).
However, I did manage at the last moment (past midnight on the last night!) to add your great 'VAG Parking Only' line to Miss October:
