Hello from South Yorkshire
« on: December 20, 2012, 12:58:33 pm »
Just wanting to say hi,
Recently purchased a 05 Golf GTI mk5, got as standard and had it straight down to RTECH for a Stage 1 Custom map.  :driver:

after issues with Diverter valves i am now fully boosted with no leaks.

check Andylindley out on youtube for some of my vids. [ Invalid YouTube link ]

So again just want to say HI  :drinking:

@max99
The wheelspin isnt too bad, it was a damp day and was running AVON tyres at the time, fitted proxy T1Rs and its reduced it a lot. tbh it needs getting back on a rolling road to see exactly what its running, as i said in the video it left R-tech with a boost leak and was still running 232bhp and 286ftlbs of torque.

Any chance of a passenger ride as I'm looking to get my GTI mapped to stage 1 in the next couple weeks?

@norterner
I wont be able to do a passenger ride as im super bus at the min but a little advise would be decent tyres, chose who maps your car carefully (R-tech are great), get a REV G diverter valve as the Standard one WILL fail. I fitted a REV D and that failed within a month or so (without running a map).
check out my videos and you can see how quick it is at stage 1 (did have wheelspin as i was on worn tyres and it was wet).
